2025 Golden Press Card Awards: Deadline extended to March 10

Enter your best work of 2025 in the Golden Press Card journalism competition, which includes new categories this year for Hurricane Helene Coverage — One Year Later and Local Government Changes for coverage of the impact of the new presidential administration on local and state government and organizations.

The competition annually recognizes the best journalism produced in East Tennessee.

Deadline

The deadline to enter has been extended to midnight March 10, 2026.

The contest platform remains the same. If you have entered in any of the last few years, you can use your existing username and password. The password can be reset if you have forgotten it.

Entries in this year’s contest will be judged by the Oklahoma SPJ Pro Chapter. The winners will be announced May 15 at Maple Hall in downtown Knoxville (details and ticket information will be announced closer to the event).

Last year’s contest had some 198 entries from journalists and news organizations across East Tennessee.
