RESCHEDULED: Knox County Legislative Forum will be Feb. 17

The Knox County Legislative Forum postponed due to weather has been scheduled for Feb. 17.

Come hear what state lawmakers representing Knox County have to say about the top issues facing the Tennessee General Assembly this session at a forum in Knoxville.

The rescheduled Legislative Forum will be held Saturday, Feb. 17. 9-10:30 a.m. The forum is being held by the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox county and the East Tennessee Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

It will be held at the Phyllis Wheatley Center, 124 S. Cruze St., Knoxville, TN 37915. There is a parking lot and street parking. Complete details will be posted closer to the event.

Jesse Mayshark, an ETSPJ board member and co-founder of Compass Knox, will serve as moderator. Access for one-on-one, in-person media interviews with the legislators in attendance also will be available at 10 a.m. after the hour-long forum.

Coffee and breakfast bagels and pastries will be available at 8:30 a.m. and are free while they last. The event is open to the public, and the wearing of masks is optional.
