Knoxville City Council Candidate Forum scheduled July 29

A City Council Candidate Forum will be held on July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Community Center.

The East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists is partnering with the League of Women Voter Knoxville/Knox County and six other organizations for the Forum.

ETSPJ board member and WATE anchor and multimedia journalist Blake Stevens will moderate.

In addition to the League of Women Voters and ETSPJ, partners of the event are Centro Hispano de East TN, Knoxville Alumnae of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Knoxville Area Urban League, Knoxville Chapter of the NAACP, Knoxville News Sentinel and YWCA of Knoxville and the TN Valley.

The July 29 Forum will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the YWCA Phyllis Wheatley Community Center, 124 S. Cruze St., Knoxville, TN 37915 (map and directions).
