
Candidate Forum: Knox Co. Sheriff

A candidate forum for the candidates for Knox County Sheriff will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at the City of Knoxville Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Avenue in Knoxville.
The candidates for sheriff are Jimmy “J.J.” Jones and Tom Spangler. All candidates have been invited to this event.
The forum is being held by the League of Women Voters of Knoxville/Knox County, the East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists and Howard Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy.
Early voting will take place April 13–28, 2022, and the primary is May 3, 2022.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that encourages informed and active participation in government and works to increase understanding of major public policy issues. Candidate forums sponsored by the League honor the League’s longstanding nonpartisan practices to ensure trust, respect, and fairness to all who participate. We use a standard set of guidelines for candidates, moderators, volunteers, and the audience.
